WHAT IS SOBBA?
is Sterilized Oxygenated Bicarbonate-Buffered Alkaline

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF SOBBA BETWEEN THE OTHER ALKALINE MINERAL DROPS PRODUCT?
SOBBA was invented not for money but for survival. . (by a Filipino Licensed Chemical Engineer in Saudi Arabia at the risk of his life in 1987. Engr. Harry Freires has 3 international patents for it. SOBBA is a buffer composed of a weak acid, carbonic acid and its conjugate bicarbonate salts. It is so formulated that there is no bacteria that can grow in it (sterilized) and an elevated amount of dissolved oxygen is coming out of its blend.

WHAT IS ACIDOSIS?
It is a state of the chemistry of the blood that usually refers to acidity of the blood plasma, wherein its pH is less than 7.4 (pH 7.1 is an acidosis although slightly alkaline). It is a major cause of all kinds of diseases. It is a discomfort in the beginning and a menace later on creating serious problem in our health, it is an increased acidity in the blood and other tissue (i.e., an increased hydrogen ion concentration)....

WHAT IS ACIDITY?
It is the quality of the chemistry of any solution wherein the pH is less than 7.0 . . the lesser the value the greater is the acidity. . (i.e., an increased hydrogen ion concentration or protons)

WHAT IS PH?
pH is the measurement of acidity and alkalinity of any solution. Its scale is from 0 to 14, 7.0 being neutral, neither acidic nor alkaline (basic). Below 7.0 is acidic and above it is alkaline. pH's mathematical formula is equal to the negative logarithm (base 10) of the hydrogen ion concentration in molar unit.

pH = -log [H+ pOH = -log [OH  ]-([H  pH + pOH = 14  ]+] is the hydrogen ion and [OH-] is the hydroxide ion concentration)

WHAT IS ALKALINITY?
It is the quality of the chemistry of any solution wherein the pH is greater than 7.0. A slightly alkaline value of 7.4 is the acid-base healthy balance of the human blood pH wherein all the vital chemicals needed for the normal operations in the body are performed. The United Nation's (UN) World Health Organization (WHO) had set the desired maximum healthy value of drinking water at an alkaline pH of 8.5. Above this is risky. The greater the difference, the greater the health risk. Too much alkalinity therefore is also bad for health. With the said maximum standard of pH set by the UN, to fight acidity therefore via the drinking water, it should be at a lower pH. . . but with a higher BUFFER STRENGTH (Harry Freires' Theory).
WHAT IS ALKALOSIS?
It’s a high alkalinity state of the blood wherein its pH is more than 7.4 (say 8.0 pH). It is a rare case of a disease compared to a more common Acidosis.

WHAT IS MINERAL?
Minerals are chemical substances (like sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, selenium, potassium, chlorides, sulphates, carbonates, bicarbonates, etc.) that generally fall under INORGANIC SUBSTANCES as opposed to carbon and its compounds or hydrocarbons which fall under ORGANIC SUBSTANCES. Minerals are essential to build and repair body tissues and are vital to all physical and mental processes. Their ions (charged particles, positively-charged cations, and the opposite anions) serves as a means of communication in between cells forming the self-healing properties of the human body. They are as important as our need for oxygen to sustain life.

WHAT IS BICARBONATE?
It is an anion (negatively-charged ion) and a type of radical composed of hydrogen, carbon, . . . one atom each in the molecule. . . and 3 atoms of oxygen. Its molecular formulae is HCO3. All of these atoms are in fact the fundamental building blocks of life.

Bicarbonate is alkaline, and a vital component of the pH buffering system of the human body (maintaining acid-base balance). 70-75% of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the body is converted into carbonic acid (H2CO3), which can quickly turn into bicarbonate.

WHAT IS A BUFFER?
A buffer (more precisely, pH buffer or hydrogen ion buffer) is an aqueous solution consisting of a mixture of a weak acid and its conjugate base, or vice versa. Its pH changes very little when a small amount of strong acid or base is added to it and thus it is used to prevent changes in the pH of a solution. Buffer solutions are used as a means of keeping pH at a nearly constant value in a wide variety of chemical applications. Many life forms thrive only in a relatively small pH range so they utilize a buffer solution to maintain a constant pH. One example of a buffer solution found in nature is blood.

Buffer solutions are necessary to keep the correct pH for enzymes in many organisms to work. Many enzymes work only under very precise conditions; if the pH moves outside of a narrow range, the enzymes slow or stop working and can denature. In many cases denaturation can permanently disable their catalytic activity. A buffer of carbonic acid (H2CO3) and bicarbonate (HCO3) is present in blood plasma, to maintain a pH between 7.35 and 7.45.

HOW DOES THE BICARBONATE BUFFER SYSTEM WORKS?
Bicarbonate can react with hydrogen ions to form carbonic acid, which combines with water to produce carbon dioxide and more water. The carbon dioxide is expired through the lungs thus helping maintain pH equilibrium in the body.

It is the only alkaline product in the market that

[1]: Specifically states its alkaline substance as bicarbonates (not hydroxides, not carbonates or a combination)
[2]: Specifically states that it is NON-TOXIC alkalinity
[3]: Specific in its objective of maintaining the healthy blood pH of 7.4 and capable of scientifically demonstrating its buffering strength to the public
[4]: There is no other product in the market today comparable to this.. .In the internet, the alkaline drop in the market is specifically stated as sodium hydroxide. Others in the pharmacy is magnesium hydroxide, etc.
THE ENG’R. HARRY FREIRES THEORY ON HEALTH AND WELLNESS
WELLNESS is 7.4 pH of the blood. . .and a high buffer-strength at that value is IMMUNITY against diseases.

THE ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED TO CREATE THE BODY’S NEEDED VITAL SUBSTANCES. . . IN THE RIGHT QUANTITY AND QUALITY. . . ..VIA ITS EVER-OCCURING CHEMICAL REACTIONS..TO MAINTAIN THE BODY’S NORMAL OPERATIONS. . .IS THE BICARBONATE-BUFFERED ACID-BASE BALANCE MEASURED AT AN SLIGHTLY ALKALINE BLOOD pH OF 7.4 .
